Hi, I’m Elizabeth Springer.

I created this website in honor of my late grandmother, the strongest woman I’ve ever had the pleasure of knowing. Gramma Jane, as we called her, was our family matriarch. Her wisdom, her laughter, and her love brightened the days of several generations of brothers, sisters, children, grandchildren, and even great-grandchildren. Watching her battle Parkinson’s disease at the end of her life is one of the hardest things I’ve ever experienced. I felt so helpless seeing her struggle each day, knowing I was powerless to ease her symptoms. I decided to create a resource for other seniors, their family members, friends, spouses, and loved ones. I hope that, whether you’re a senior or a caregiver, you realize you’re not alone.

As our loved ones age, they face some tough yet crucial decisions. Some people can comfortably age in place. Others age with chronic health conditions like PTSD, Alzheimer’s, dementia, diabetes, or heart disease. I started ForElders.org to share essential tips, answer FAQs, and spark meaningful conversations. There’s no roadmap for aging, but this site will help guide you through some of the challenges you and your loved ones will face during their Golden Years.
